Orlando Abrigo Barbera d’Alba ‘Roreto’ 2014
We have come across an outstanding Barbera d'Alba, but dont take our word for it, here are just a couple of the reviews:
92Pts - Totally opaque black dark red core with a bright deep purple red hue. A fragrant nose of ripe, freshly crushed berries combines with hints of violets, subtle liquorice, inky earth and spice scents. Juicy and vibrant the palate is filled with crushed dark cherry, liquorice and plum flavours which sit over nuances of inky earth and spice. Finishes dry with bright lively acidity and finely grained, perfectly integrated tannins. Juicy aftertaste of lightly spiced crushed cherries, plum, liquorice, subtle inky earth and traces of fresh herbs.
“Orlando Abrigo is producing wines of wonderful depth and structure. The 2014 Barbera d’Alba is a clear standout. 5 Stars…”
Opaque dark red black colour with a bright purple hue. Fragrant inky dark raspberry, ripe plum and liquorice scents drift through the nostrils with earthy incense like notes and spice following on. Medium to full bodied with a rich juicy yet inky mouthfeel the palate features dark raspberry and plum flavours over traces of liquorice, inky earth and spice..93Pts
