Costantino Nero d’Avola 2014
We have just received our yearly allocation of the highest pointed Nero d’Avola in the most recent edition of Gambero Rosso, the world’s foremost authority on Italian wines.
Nero d’Avola is "the most important red wine grape in Sicily" and is one of Italy's most important indigenous varieties. Nero d’Avola wines are compared to New World Shiraz’s, with rich tannins and chocolatey or peppery flavors.
Costantino Nero d’Avola 2014 is a brilliant example of why this variety is taking Australian wine bars and restaurants by storm. Silky smooth, soft, rich and complex but not complex like you have just sat a 3 hour exam. Simply put, a really lovely wine to enjoy with food and not to mention, outstanding value for money!
